Wine of the month August
2018 Côtes de Provence Rosé
GOLD Medal at the Paris Agricultural Show (CGA)
Pale pink, this wine is the colour of peonies. A complex nose of red fruit and white-fleshed peaches. On the palate, a delicate, wonderfully balanced wine. We would advise you to drink it at a temperature between 8°and 10°.
Information and advice:
Pairs well with:
• Fish “pain surprise”
• Grilled mullet fillet
• Octopus salad
• Tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce
• Grilled meat
Owned by the same family for over three centuries, the Pontfract estate covers about 20 hectares and is just a few kilometres from Brignoles. The vineyard is located in chalky terroir with stony soil that is bathed in sunlight.
This wine is produced using the “saignée” method and modern wine making techniques, with permanent temperature monitoring. The freshest and most delicate rosés come from cooler terroirs in the northern section of the area covered by the Côtes de Provence appellation, where the grapes mature slowly.
