Ingredients:

tablespoons Alnatura chia seeds
250
ml water
1
kg pineapple

large apples

beetroot (vacuum pack)

g fresh turmeric

g fresh root ginger

tablespoons Alnatura agave syrup

Prepare the ingredients

Soak the chia seeds in the cold water for 30 minutes. Peel and core the pineapple and cut into small pieces. Peel and quarter the apples. Remove the pips and chop the quarters into small bits. Cut the beetroot into pieces.

Using a metal teaspoon, peel the turmeric and ginger by applying pressure and running the spoon down the skin to minimise waste (use disposable gloves when peeling the turmeric).

Blend the smoothie

Place in a blender the prepared ingredients, the chia seeds and the water they were soaked in along with the agave syrup. Start off by pulsing the mixture and then eventually blend at speed to get a smoothie. If the mixture is too thick, add a little water and blend again.

Note: If you wish, you can pour the smoothie mixture into small bottles and serve with a straw.
