Cactus has its own cake and pastries unit in Windhof (GDL) which produces mouth-watering delicacies which I never tire of eating. All year round, I find new Cactus creations to go with the season.
I enjoy the taste of Luxembourg
Producing our cakes and pastries ourselves is totally in keeping with our philosophy of promoting artisan products based on both traditional and innovative recipes.
Our “Mäi Goût vu Lëtzebuerg” (My Taste of Luxembourg) advertising campaign was all about showing the pride we take in these products which we make ourselves.
You’ll find them in our stores under the name “Cactus Hausgemaacht”.
I’d rather eat local product
So that we can provide you with top-quality products, we use only the very finest raw ingredients, and locally sourced whenever possible, e.g. Luxlait butter, milk and cream; Moulin de Kleinbettingen flour and so on.
I love Bamkuch
This extraordinary cake with its amazing shape is baked in the “de Schnékert Traiteur” patisserie unit in Windhof (GDL). Baked on a spit, and glazed layer after layer, it’s called a ‘tree cake’ because that’s what it looks like. It’s available in our stores all year round or to order.
Traditionally Bamkuch is eaten at special celebration meals – after dessert and with a cup of good coffee!
