Salice Salentino is without doubt one of the best known wines from the Salento area (Puglia) which is the heel of Italy’s boot. 90% Negroamaro and 10% Malvasia, this wine is a lovely concentrated red colour and has an intense floral bouquet.
After aging 2 years in oak barrels, the wine is full, smooth and mellow with notes of cherries, plums, spices and Mediterranean herbs and a pleasantly fresh finish.
Ideally this wine should be drunk at a temperature between 18°C and 20°C.

Founded in 1933, Cave San Donaci is in the commune of San Donaci in the province of Brindisi on the Salento Peninsula.“Negroamaro” is the grape variety most commonly grown in this winemaking region, followed by "Malvasia" and "Chardonnay", other varieties are also grown.
Cave San Donaci is constantly striving to improve the quality of its wines and thanks to all the many investments it has made, both in its vineyards and in the technology used in its cellars, it has achieved excellent results.
