September wine of the month
2015 Château Le Bonalguet
GOLD Medal at the Concours des Vins d'Aquitaine - Bordeaux.
GOLD Medal at the Concours des Grands Vins de France - Mâcon.
This wine has a lovely deep red colour, veering on black. On the nose, as soon as it is exposed to air, aromas of black fruit, blackcurrant and lightly toasted bread come to the fore. On the palate, this wine has a pleasant sweetness; it is supple and full-bodied with good length. This is a harmonious, well-balanced wine which achieves elegance.
To fully enjoy this wine, we advise you to decant it one hour before serving it at a temperature of 17-18°C.
Informations and tips:
Pairs well with
• Rib of beef
• Fine deli meats
• Guinea fowl
• Soft cheese
The vineyard covers 15 hectares with primarily clay-limestone terroirs. The vines are 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Malbec.
Working with environmentally-friendly methods, the health of the vines is a constant preoccupation and they are closely monitored so that the grapes are harvested only when completely ripe and full of flavour. The goal is to produce a fruity, slightly woody flavoured wine, while still cherishing the fruit of the land.
