Masso Antico cultivates its vines using an ancient method known as “Alberello”, which was developed to offset the scarcity of water in this extremely hot climate.
This process, which is nowadays very rare, is an extremely important part of Puglia’s rich cultural and wine-making heritage. Carefully harvested by hand, the grapes are then removed from the stems and meticulously selected. The wine matures slowly for about six months in French oak barrels to produce an exceptional, full-bodied wine with soft tannins and notes of vanilla that linger in the mouth.
