Located in the Pyrenean Piedmont and overlooked by its famous Mount Canigou, Les Aspres is a truly excellent Côtes du Roussillon wine. In Catalan, ‘ aspres ’ means arid, which aptly describes this sun-drenched terroir surrounded by scrubland and alzina – holm oaks. Here the vines draw upon the very essence of the schist soils to deliver a powerful wine with incomparable finesse.
