The Carrot, September’s Queen!
Since our earliest childhood, we’ve been told that eating carrots improves our eyesight. This is indeed true to some extent because they are very rich in beta carotene, although this isn’t the only reason why eating carrots is a good idea. Carrots provide an excellent source of vitamins and are rich in iron, phosphorus, potassium and fibre. When eaten regularly, they are beneficial for good cardiovascular health and play a role in preventing certain cancers.
