The Apple: October’s Queen
Everyone is familiar with the saying: “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. And it’s true that when eaten raw, i.e. not cooked or processed, this lovely fruit is packed with vitamins, antioxidants, fibre and more. Apples also make an ideal snack; they contain pectin which helps stave off hunger pangs. Biting into an apple is more stimulating for our teeth and gums, as well as helping us get on track with healthy eating habits: you can’t help but develop a liking for apples as they’re so juicy and flavoursome!
Just remember, an apple is easy to eat anywhere you go!
