Sweet, fragrant, fantastically hydrating, packed with vitamins A, C, and B and high in potassium, the mineral athletes need to recover after exercising – melons should be on the menu all summer long. Melon makes a perfect dessert eaten just as it is and it also teams beautifully with all summertime fruits. Fabulous for both sweet and savoury food, it can eaten in salads, with ham, smoked duck’s breast, prawns, feta cheese, fresh goat’s cheese, mint, basil and so on. So, if you’ve got a nice melon, just open your fridge and improvise!
